Asset Management, Inc. (AGLB) is an independent fee-based
investment advisor to individuals, pensions and trusts. Working

Peter Ladd Gilsey CIC, Chairman &
CEO
Peter Ladd Gilsey, CIC is the
Chairman of Ariba GLB Asset Management, a member of the Investment
Policy Committee, and the original founding member of Ariba Asset
Management.
Mr. Gilsey’s 50 years of experience
includes being the founder and Chairman of Potomac Asset Management,
Manager of LF Rothschild Asset Management’s Washington, DC office and
the Senior Portfolio Manager, Vice-President, Resident Partner, and
National Sales Director for Loomis Sayles & Co.
Mr. Gilsey earned a B.S. from
Georgetown University. He is also Chairman Emeritus of the Accokeek
Foundation,a member of the Investment Committee Episcopal Diocese of
Washington, and a past President of the Washington Society of Investment
Analysts.
Holder of a B.S. degree in business
administration from Georgetown University, Mr. Gilsey has lectured on
investments at American and Georgetown Universities and taught courses
in trust investments and security analysis for the Washington Chapter,
American Institute of Banking. A former member of the Investment
Management Committee of the International Foundation of Employee Benefit
Plans, he has been a frequent speaker and moderator before many
professional organizations, including the International Foundation of
Employee Benefit Plans, where he has spoken at Annual Conferences,
Advanced Trustees Institutes and regional seminars.
Mr. Gilsey has served the Capitol
community in many ways: to wit, an active Rotarian and two-time
recipient of its Rotarian of the Year Award, Founder of the
Langdon-Bowen YMCA “Y Guy” of the Year award, several time Chair of the
YMCA’s Partner with Youth Campaign and past Chairman of the YMCA
Foundation. Mr. Gilsey is also currently Chairman Emeritus of The
Accokeek Foundation, Honorary Director of the Washington Performing Arts
Society, and Founder of its Corporate Sponsor Committee, Co-Founder of
the Washington Tennis Hall of Fame and Former Board member of the
Washington Area Tennis Patrons Foundation. A marathon runner, Mr. Gilsey
completed the Marine Marathon in October 1998 and the Suzuki Rock and
Roll San Diego Marathon in 1999.
Roger W. Marshall, Fixed Income
Director
Ariba GLB employs the fixed-income
asset management services of Roger W. Marshall for clients seeking
active fixed-income management. Mr. Marshall was President of Ariba
Asset Management, and the Director of Fixed-Income Portfolio Management,
as well as a member of the firm’s Investment Policy Committee before
assuming his current role as sub-advisor. Mr. Marshall’s 24 years of
experience includes both fixed-income portfolio management and capital
markets research.
Before joining Ariba in 2000, Mr.
Marshall was a Managing Director at Potomac Asset Management, President
of Wainwright Asset Management, President of Riggs Investment Management
Corporation, and a research Economist at the U.S. Securities and
Exchange Commission and at the American Stock Exchange.
Mr. Marshall earned his B.A. in
Economics, and his M.A. in Economics from the State University of New
York at Binghamton.
Outside of Ariba, Mr. Marshall
devotes time to learning and promoting the Martial Arts, advocating
environmentalism, and volunteering with local schools.
Robert E. Long, CFA, Portfolio
Manager
Robert Long is a principal of Ariba
GLB Asset Management., a registered investment advisory firm. He was
principal and former president of Potomac Asset Management Inc., an
investment advisory firm, which was sold in 1995.
Mr. Long is a Chartered Financial
Analyst (CFA) Charter holder, the professional designation of the CFA
Institute, and past president of the Washington Society of Investment
Analysts. He has been a principal, officer, and director of two New York
Stock Exchange member firms, Johnston, Lemon & Company Inc. and Ferris
Baker Watts Inc. At Johnston, Lemon & Company Inc. he also served as
secretary of Washington Mutual Investor Fund, one of the nation's
largest mutual funds.
Active in working with corporate
managements, he currently serves on the board of directors of two
publicly traded companies, AMBASE Corporation and Allied Capital
Corporation, the nation's oldest Business Development Company (BDC).
Mr. Long received an A.B. degree
from Indiana University with a major in Economics and a J.D. from the
George Washington University School of Law with a major in Corporate
Law.
Dan Federman, Managing Director and Chief Investment Officer
Dan Federman serves as equity portfolio manager for Ariba GLB, overseeing more than $100 million in private client assets. In this capacity, he leads the company's research efforts and private client briefings on investment strategy. As a commentator on business radio, he has conducted investment seminars for the general public. A native of Boston, MA, Mr. Federman earned a Bachelor of Science degree in International Business at the University of Maryland College Park in 1997. Mr. Federman is an affiliate member of the CFA Institute of Washington, a member of the Washington Association of Money Managers, DC and a member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA). He currently is pursuing a certificate in financial planning. Outside of work, he competes in the United States Tennis Association.
John Feketekuty, CFA Managing Director
John Feketekuty joined Ariba at the
beginning of 2001 as a research assistant utilizing his math and
analytical skills. Mr. Feketekuty manages our account reporting and
performance measurement. Mr. Feketekuty became a Registered Investment
Advisor in the summer of 2001 and in that capacity assists Peter Gilsey
and Bob Long in monitoring accounts as well as managing several equity
and bond portfolios. John is the 4th member of the Investment Research
Committee and is responsible for keeping the research minutes and
summarizing significant weekly Wall Street Reports.
Mr. Feketekuty graduated with a
double major in Accounting and Finance from the University of Maryland
College Park. At Maryland, he has been very active serving as
CFO/Treasurer for several organizations and start up companies including
Sigma Phi Epsilon, Mindsay Inc, Rotaract Club and E club. John was
also a member of Hinman CEOs a unique award-winning living-learning
program at the University of Maryland. He is also an active member in
the Rotaract Club.
